The Story Behind This Recipe
Coconut Cult has totally blown up online—and for good reason. It's delicious, probiotic-rich, and dairy-free. But at $10 for a tiny 8oz jar (if you can even find it in stock), it's kind of a luxury. The good news? You can make your own at home for a fraction of the cost, and it's surprisingly easy. All you need is some coconut cream, a little coconut sugar, and a probiotic starter. I usually use a plain coconut milk yogurt from the store to get things going, but you can also use probiotic capsules if you're feeling experimental. I haven't tried that method myself yet, but the steps are the same—blend everything up, stir in your probiotic, and let it ferment. That's it. Homemade Coconut Cult-style yogurt that's thick, tangy, and way more budget-friendly.
